Q: "What do you think is the best thing you can do as an Ashley Hall student?"
A: Preparing for classes and preparing for future assignments is pretty important. Always try to stay in the know about upcoming events in your classes so you're not left surprised. But also taking care of yourself is important because you want to make sure you're 100% capable to accomplish the tasks at hand. Overall, preparation and organization are two points you should focus on. PQV!
Q: How do I stop procrastinating and start doing my work?
A: Good question! All of us have struggles when it comes to motivation for work. Stopping to take breaks or rewarding yourself are good incentives to help with going through work. You also want to make sure that you're isolating your distractions. For example, if you catch yourself mindlessly scrolling on your phone, try turning it on Do Not Disturb mode, or putting it in a different room until you have your homework finished. Happy studies!
Q: Someone asked me for help and then didn't follow it, even though it was great advice. What should I do?
A: This is a tough situation, but no matter what, always make sure that the advice was given in a friendly way without lots of criticism or arrogance. This person may have misread your advice as criticism and taken it the wrong way. Otherwise, you should address the person and tell them that you thought you gave them helpful advice, but they need to appreciate it, even if they don't take your advice. Hopefully, you're able to clear things up and even go the extra mile to give them a little bit more help.
