Welcome to The Panther Post!
The Digital News team has been working diligently to put together a new edition of the Panther Post each quarter of the school year! You will find the link to the newest edition on the Home page, which can also be accessed through the Article page.
Our website is full of lots of interesting topics, including current events in and out of school, personal interests and stories, and trends! We also have a new art and photography section where you can see artwork made by Ashley Hall students and photos taken relating to our articles!
Our team includes both new students and Ashley Hall veterans ranging from Seventh graders to Seniors. Our members have a diverse array of interests including writing, reporting, photography, editing, and layout. Digital News is always open to new members from seventh grade and up, as well as guest writers.

Gracie Horger
Hi, my name is Gracie Horger and I’m an author and photographer for the Panther Post. This is my 3rd year on staff, but this is my 2nd year leading the society! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my friends and family, working out, and writing (obviously). I am so excited to work with my team and create beautiful publications for Ashley Hall students, teachers, and parents before I graduate!
Sarah Farr
Hey, I'm Sarah and I'm a senior. I've been at Ashley Hall for 4 years and I'm excited to be working on Digital News again.
Savvy Lewis
Hi, my name is Savvy. I've been attending Ashley Hall since 7th grade and I am in 11th this year. I love reading and writing, especially on topics that I really enjoy. I play violin and work as a lifeguard. I also love to travel and have been to Jamaica, and the Bahamas, and went to Canada this summer to see Niagara Falls.
Kate Murphy
Hi! I am Kate Murphy and I am a sophomore at Ashley Hall! I've been at Ashley Hall for 4 years and I value everyday here. I have 2 sisters who are twins, a dog named Monty, and a cat named ChiChi. I’ve lived in downtown Charleston my whole life and love it! I play varsity lacrosse for Ashley Hall in the spring and have been on the team for 3 years now. I love all things to do with my friends whether it's grabbing some dinner or a nice beach day and often enjoy spending evenings with my family!
Olivia Paoletti
Hi! My name is Olivia, and this will be my 2nd year in Digital News. Some things I enjoy doing are being with friends, reading, and running. I like being in the Digital News Society because it’s a way to show Ashley Hall from the student’s perspective and keeps me involved in what’s happening at school. For Digital News, I write articles as well as upload everything on to the Wix site. I’m so excited for this year and hope you are too!
Shila Sniderman
My name is Shila Sniderman. This is my eleventh year at Ashley Hall which makes me a sophomore. I have been here at Ashley Hall for as long as I can remember. My parents are firm believers in an all girls education. I have been raised that despite all else, education and experiences are things that can never be taken away from you. Of course I value my family, my dogs, and my friends, but in the end memories and experiences are all you’ll have with you.
Veda Patel
Hello! My name is Veda Patel and I'm currently a sophomore in my 5th Year at Ashley Hall. Some of my hobbies include reading, writing, baking, and exploring the great outdoors with my friends. I also play JV tennis and varsity archery for AH, and I love to volunteer in the Charleston community, I'm the Head of Ashley Hall's She's the First Society and a proud student ambassador. This is my second year on the digital news staff and I can't wait to continue to write edit and bring creative ideas to the panther post.
Zahirah Muhammad
Hi everyone my name is Zahirah Muhammad. I'm a sophomore and this is my fifth year at Ashley Hall I enjoy reading, playing my violin, spending time with my family, and doing fun little arts and crafts! I am part of the student ambassadors, model UN, she's the first, black student union (BSU) and more importantly a proud member of Digital News. This will be my second year writing for Digital News and I'm excited to write about events happening in the Ashley Hall community. I can't wait for all the amazing things that are coming up in the school year!

Hi everyone! My name is Aziel Reed, and this is my 2nd year at AH and in Digital News. I am a freshman and I am so excited for this school year. Digital News was such a great experience last year, and I know it will be even better this year. I can’t wait to learn more about photography, writing about school events, and meeting new people.
Lucy David
My name is Lucy David, and I am in the ninth grade. This is my 2nd year on the Panther Post staff, although I have been at Ashley Hall since sixth grade. I am really excited to get a chance to write more and to be part of this society.
Abigail Biddle
Hi, my name is Abigail. I'm 13 years old, and this is my 5th year at Ashley Hall. In my free time, I enjoy being with my cats and creative writing. I'm so excited to be on digital news this year and can't wait to show my Ashley Hall experience!
Mary-Wade Brewer
Hi! I’m Mary-Wade Brewer, and I’m a senior! I founded the “Panther Post” in 9th grade because I was looking for a way to explore creative writing at Ashley Hall with other students. My idea was to create a platform where students could write and publish any topic they wanted. I also loved the idea of bringing in photography and art to support the writing. As a senior, I’m so proud to see how the Digital News has evolved and improved over the past 4 years and I’m excited to see where it goes after I graduate.
