If This Was a Movie: Predictions about the Eras Tour Movie

At first when I thought of my article I had not thought anything along the lines of the Taylor Swift movie—but then it hit. I could ask the differences that people predict between the concert and the movie. So I interviewed 4 people. I chose 3 7th graders -Mary Hope Lloyd, Ann Wallace Houck, and Molly Mingledoff. I also interviewed 1 teacher -Ms. Drake. They all had different perspectives and different predictions.

Molly said that she feels that there will be more surprise songs rather than just having two. She had another hunch that Taylor Swift will be more serious in the movie. Mary Hope had a way different prediction and said that there will be no surprise songs! She had also said the movie will probably be quieter because it's in the movie theater. Mary Hope had one more guess about the movie and that was that before and during the movie people would still trade bracelets. Ann Wallace had made a prediction for more of a comparison point; she had compared the Reputation movie to her predictions. Her predictions were that Taylor would show backstage as in after her stage dive it would show her costume change backstage. Ann Wallace had also felt that Taylor Swift would talk in the movie about the Eras tour. That was the perspective of the 7th graders. Now let’s hear from a teacher: Ms. Drake to be specific.

Ms. Drake said that she feels that there will be merch. She also said that they can never recreate the experience that you had in person because some crazy things happened and they were not planned but she did improv and pretended it was supposed to happen. That probably will not happen because people were paid to film specific parts of the show and not the “mistakes.” Ms. Drake had one more idea, she thought there would be no wristbands that change color.
